This very well regarded careers service continues to be extremely proactive in the area of work experience.  Management of programmes is outstanding and there is some groundbreaking working in trying to ensure quality standards (Assessor for CEI)

HCS has been recognised by the Centre for Education and Industry for our work with employers and schools in developing and delivering work experience.  Each year, we provide over 12,500 placements that give young people the chance to learn and practise the skills that will make them more employable and support their career progression.

We can help you ensure your young people get the most out of their time in the workplace, by:

• finding employers to support work experience programmes
• supporting employers to design and deliver relevant experiences
• vetting placements to ensure they are safe and comply with legal requirements
• offering students placements using our on line booking service (WebView)
• providing resources and materials that aid the preparation of debriefing of students including WexAbility, our toolkit for schools
• organising professional development and training for school and college co-ordinator.

We offer a range of programmes tailored to meet curriculum outcomes and support personal growth.  These include:

• 1 or 2 week block placements
• sector specific taster experiences from 1 day to a week
• extended placements including an accredited programme for students following alternative curriculum models
• work related learning programmes that support the attainment of vocational qualifications or college course
