PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner Qualification Self Study and Workshop

Provek’s self-study programme is designed to get you through the Foundation and Practitioner exams with a minimum of classroom contact time. This is achieved using a combination of self study material, web based practice exams, remote tutor support and a 2.5 day workshop which incorporates both exams. This approach provides you with a greater degree of flexibility in the way you study than that of a standard 5 day classroom based event.

The Foundation exam is held at 4pm on the Wednesday afternoon and will be marked by the trainer acting on behalf of the APM Group (the accrediting organisation). A pass in the Foundation is a pre-requisite to sitting the practitioner exam. A free re-sit of the Foundation exam is available in the unlikely event of failture. The workshop then focuses upon preparation for the Practitioner exam which is held on the Friday morning. Commitment to fulfilling the self-study prior to attending this 2.5-day workshop is essential.

Who should attend:

Project staff wishing to demonstrate a recognised level of competence in project management or who are required to play a role in a project conducted in accordance with the PRINCE2 method.

Duration:

Approximately 30 hours of self study plus a 2.5 day classroom workshop.

Examination: Includes two exams, Foundation: 1 hour multiple choice examination, held on the Wedneday afternoon at 3:00pm.  The 2.5 hr Practitioner examination includes 9 objective test questions and is held at 9:00pm on the Friday morning. 
Venues: Reading for public scheduled courses.
 
For in-house single client courses this event is held at the client selected venue.

 £795 + VAT per delegate inclusive of lunch, refreshments and exam fees.

Course style:

This 2.5 day workshop is interactive, with opportunities for discussion and assists the delegate in preparing for the examinations. A number of weeks prior to the workshop, delegates will be provided with Provek’s self-study pack including a PRINCE2 manual, along with access via the internet to exam online readiness tools for both Foundation and Practitioner exams. During the self-study period, remote tutor support will also be available from a Provek PRINCE2 expert consultant.

Pre-requisites: Ideally a minimum of 1 to 2 years experience in a project environment as a senior manager, project manager, project/team leader or end-user.
Pre-course study: Approximately 30 hours of self study.
