APM Introductory Certificate

The APM Introductory Certificate (APM IC) in Project Management is a qualification that is designed for those embarking on a project management career or for individuals who require recognition for their general project management knowledge and awareness.  

This two day course is based upon the Association for Project Management’s Body of Knowledge and covers the syllabus for the APM IC examination.  The course covers a wide range of topics at a summary level thus providing attendees with a broad understanding of project management terminology, basic techniques and the people and skills required to successfully manage a project. The 1 hour examination is taken on the afternoon of the second day of this course.

Who should attend:

Project team members, Project Planners, Project Office staff, Project Coordinators, Junior or inexperienced project managers, work package leads and any staff new to project management who require a broad insight in to project management principles and best-practice.

Duration: 2 days.
Timings: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day (including exam)
Examination: 1 hour examination to include 60 multiple choice questions. The examination is held at the end of the course.
Venues: Reading   for public scheduled courses.
 
For in-house single client courses this event is held at the client selected venue.

Course style: The course is tutor-led classroom style with participative exercises, case studies and revision questions.
Pre-requisites: None.  However, some project experience is an advantage.
