Provek supports ECITB and becomes an accredited provider
The Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB) is dedicated to training and qualifying the engineering construction industry workforce across many skills and disciplines including project management. Provek was commissioned by ECITB to provide course materials for the APM Introductory Certificate in Project Management. These included a specially written project scenario used for course exercises, examples of good practice drawn from the industry and full tutor notes to allow other approved training providers to run the course. Effective project management is key
Investment in developing effective internal project management capability is recognised as a high priority within De La Rue. Provek has been working closely with De La Rue to provide best-practice project management training tailored within a De La Rue context and including the option for individuals to achieve an externally recognised qualification. The targeted training is in various shapes and sizes and comprises, for example, 1-day Project Management Overview, 1-day Microsoft Project Introduction, distance learning APM Introductory Certificate and 3-day Professional Project Management. This whole training approach is part of the De La Rue Academy and a project management roadmap which will raise further their ability to manage and deliver projects effectively. All Provek clients!
Babcock International Group announced recently the completion of the acquisition of VT Group, both of which are clients of Provek. VT Group first engaged Provek five years ago to provide assessment-led training and development services, which over time led to Provek working with many of their business areas. The MOD remains a major client of the enlarged Group and is a long-standing Provek client. Earlier this year, Babcock Networks division commissioned Provek to support them. Rapid response supports let-down client

Provek prides itself in providing good quality services at an affordable price and in a timely manner. Recently, Provek has been called upon twice to run an important training course where a client had been badly let down at very short notice. Interestingly on both occasions, Provek organised training materials to be prepared, printed, bound and delivered and our training consultants briefed with just two days notice before the start of the course. Although the course topics were very different, namely An Introduction to MS Project and Managing Successful Programmes, the results were similar – very satisfied delegates, very pleased and relieved clients.
