Our structured competence based interviews are undertaken either to validate a training needs analysis or to provide additional evidence in a high stakes assessment process.
The benefits arising from the structured interview include:
- Increased confidence in the validation of training needs recommendations identified from online assessments
- Further evidence of a project professional's capabilities, particularly interpersonal skills and motivations.
Our approach
A sampling approach is recommended for interviews used in training needs analysis to enable best value to be gained. All interviews are highly structured and have a rigorous plan and scoring method which is aligned to the International Project Management Association (IPMA) four levels of project manager.
While to face to face interviews are essential in high stakes assessments (where the candidate's career development options are being influenced), we have found that some telephone interviews are acceptable in a training needs analysis assignment.
