Whiz Kidz Business Academy

Give gifted and talented students in Hertfordshire a taste of business with this innovative summer school

Whiz Kidz Business Academy – an opportunity for all gifted and talented students in Hertfordshire, aged 11-14 years to attend a business themed summer school.

Over 5 days, the students undertake a varied menu of practical, interactive activities which relate to the key skills required in the workplace such as:

communication
team working
problem solving
presentations

At the same time the students benefit by:

meeting new friends from different schools
growing in confidence
gaining new knowledge

Each day has a theme attached to the programme – example from Summer School 2009 “Junk to Funk” Charity Fashion Show.

Each team are required

to set up an ethical clothing company
to carry out and present research on the clothing industry
to design and produce a clothing garment from only recycle materials
to give a presentation at the Fashion Show and model the designed garment

Other activities the students will be involved in include:

a day out to Cuffley Camp on a corporate team building training day
skills required in project management, marketing and problem solving
daily Mastermind challenge

How can I book?

Details of the Whiz Kidz Business Academy are sent to all Careers Co-ordinators in schools within Hertfordshire in the Summer Term.

This Summer School is FREE to all gifted and talented students within Hertfordshire and all that is required is for you to complete a series of forms and return them to your child’s school.
