StopGap – for young people with aspergers syndrome

A programme for young people in Hertfordshire with asperger's syndrome

The programme is aimed at young people who:

  • are aged between 16-24
  • want to meet new people and gain confidence   
  • feel they didn’t get enough out of school     

What can StopGap do for me? 

StopGap will:

  • prepare you to get into college, training or employment
  • prepare you to work towards qualifications
  • help you and support you in work experience

StopGap is a specialist programme for young people 16-24, with asperger's syndrome and social and communication difficulties. It offers functional skills, social and life skills and work experience. 

Referrals to StopGap are usually made to HCS by a Youth Connexions Adviser either through your school or college or One Stop Shop, alternatively you can call StopGap directly to find out more.
