Helping carers back into work or training

If you look after a child or adult who has a disability, illness or addiction and are looking to return to work, education or training – HCS with its Service for Carers can help you achieve this.


This service offers information, advice and guidance to adults who are carers or who have recently cared for a family member, friend or neighbour and who now want to gain the confidence and skills they need to return to the job market. 

How will this service help me?

You will receive a one-to-one session with a specialist adviser who can support you with: 

  • how best to update your skills
  • job searching
  • writing or updating your CV 
  • preparing for job interviews
