Helping young people to succeed with HCS StopGap

What is StopGap?

StopGap is a year long specialist programme run by HCS for young people in Hertfordshire aged 16-25 with asperger's syndrome or social and communication difficulties.

The programme offers learners:

courses in functional skills, employability skills and citizenship at NVQ level 1
participation in art therapy, drama therapy, work experience and volunteering opportunities
an individual key worker who helps them set weekly and monthly individual targets

Referrals to StopGap are usually made to HCS via a Youth Connexions Personal Adviser or the student's current school or college
