Opportunity Days for Students

Opportunities Days provides young people aged 14-19 with a programme of interactive workshops that support work related learning and careers education.
These workshops are facilitated by employers, business professionals and volunteers within the community. With over 20 different workshops to choose from, students will:

- recognise, develop and apply their skills for enterprise and employability
- reflect on their learning and record their achievements
Young people get to choose their workshops that recognise their areas of interest and their abilities including:
- “999” – a day in the life of a Fire Fighter
- Furry Friends – hands on experience of animal care
- Strike a Pose! – working as a photographer on a model shoot
- Lights, Camera, Action! – learning camera skills by making a short film
and many many more............
