Psychometric testing is a valuable tool for students needing to decide which career path to take
The Morrisby Profile has established itself as one of the best and most useful psychometric tests.
It's a series of tests assessing a student’s logic, verbal, non verbal and numerical reasoning, spatial awareness and mechanical aptitude. It also examines personality including awareness, flexibility, commitment, leadership and initiative.
The results will provide you with a profile of each student’s strengths across each test and a career guide. For example, good verbal ability is associated with many administrative, managerial and people-oriented occupations. in contrast, strong perceptual ability indicates a potential in scientific and engineering areas.
The Morrisby Profile can also help to pinpoint student’s preferred method of studying and learning, for example, indicating whether a course with lots of practical activities, or a more academic mode of teaching may be preferred.
The tests are administered in a formal manner and take about 3 ½ hours, but they are not examinations. Students generally find the process interesting and fun. All the required resources will be provided by HCS.
The whole Morrisby exercise has been very worthwhile in my opinion. My son's personality and aptitude were very accurate. The results have given my son a tremendous boost and he has self belief in his abilities.
